Who is that actor?

One of our readers guessed that the actor shown on the (discounted at Amazon) cover of my book, Hollywood Economics, is Harold Lloyd.

So here is the little contest. The first one to correctly name the actor on the cover, the movie, and the director gets a (listen to this) free copy of Chapter One of Evolutionary Fitness.

I will use the time date on the email to decide who wins and you must name all three. This is easy. But, the prize is not that great either.

Whoo-hoo! I'm looking forward to my fabulous prize. (What do I have to do to weasel a copy of Hollywood Economics out of you?)

By the way, Harold Loyd was a good guess, but his iconic holding-on scene has him clinging to a giant clock hand. Which is moving. Until the face starts falling off.

We have a winner, but it was close.

Nadav got the answers in at 6:14PM MDT. He sent the answer directly to me, so you can't verify the time from the site. Because of that, I am also sending the fabulous prize to Matt for coming in just 6 minutes later, but through the official web site. Movie: Vertigo

Director: Alfred Hitchcock

The fabulous prize, Chapter 1, has been delivered.

There does appear to be a bit of eye makeup on Stewart in the picture, which gives a Harold Loyd look, without the glasses. On the other hand, people look very similar when their faces are expressing stark fear.
