Evidence of heart disease, malnutrition, and even diabetes among ancient Egyptians has been known for some time. To my knowledge this X-ray evidence reported in Discovery is the first hard evidence that shows lesions in the blood vessels. Note how the author attempts to put the blame on fats and how the first comment by Rahsaan more accurately points to grains.
