Iodine is something those who follow Evolutionary Fitness migh consider supplementing. We don't get iodine in salt and there is some evidence of iodine depletion in soils. Iodine and thyroid are important cancer defenses and, of course, thyroid and iodine are linked, with low thyroid being a common cause of weight gain.
