Dr. Francis Heylighen of the Evolution, Complexity and Cognition Group at Vrije Universiteit, Brussels has posted a page of principles and sources for the modern implementation of the paleolithic lifestyle. Now that is  a group I could admire and be at home in; in an indirect way, the group of scientists I associated with at my old university was an informal group of scientists similarly interested in complexity and cognition, though with less emphasis than I would have liked on evolution.

Here is his description of his new place in the paloblogshere: "I have summarized the paleolithic prescription on the following web page, and added plenty of links with additional information and scientific evidence: http://ecco.vub.ac.be/?q=node/127

Following these guidelines has made me feel much better, healthier and more energetic in a short time. The same effect was noticed by several of my friends and colleagues who adopted a similar approach. It has also given me a new enthusiasm for life in general, especially since it allowed me to better synthesize my scientific understanding of evolution and of healthy behavior with my intuitive likes (e.g. for hiking in nature :-) or exploring new ideas) and dislikes (e.g. for writing funding proposals :-( or doing repetitive, gymnastics-style exercise). Now I can theoretically justify why I feel good doing certain things, and bad doing others...
