The studies are coming quickly now; dieting is not all about carbs and fats, as most tend to believe. It is about the pattern of eating, something I emphasize in The New Evolution Diet, and have been doing for years. Check this and then look at the whimpy caveat by a nutritionist, who seems not to be aware of the many studies that have been published on intermittent fasting.
Every time I am interviewed, there is always a nutritionist advising caution and fearing something never made explicit about not eating or eating the way humans did for millions of years, accepting that our very early hominid ancestors can be called human. I personally, do accept that and think it is a bit egocentric to not include our early predecessors in the human line.
I want to also note that it is not at all important that the 20 times elevation of HGH may not persist. It is an acute response, not something you want to be chronic. That is the way hormones work.
