If there is a secret I think it may be that, on this birthday I celebrate 60 years of weight lifting. I began at 14 in my parent's garage with a 90 pound weight set.
While there were interludes while in graduate school, I never stopped lifting weights. It is the way it makes you feel and look. Aesthetics were always on my mind; lean and muscular without being bulky. Quick and strong and the X-look have been my principles.
The health benefits of correct body composition are now known to be primary to metabolic fitness.
